Private Western Vocals
Class Structure
- Format: 100% private 1-on-1 session.
- Duration: 60 minutes per session (15 mins warm up + 45 mins training).
- Frequency: 4 classes per month (weekly).
- Syllabus: Covers voice culture, pitch correction, and genre specific styling.
- Certification: Curriculum aligned with Trinity, ABRSM, or Rockschool boards.
Studio Access
- Environment: Acoustically treated AC practice room.
- Equipment: Access to professional dynamic microphones (Shure style) for mic technique training.
- Accompaniment: Instructor accompaniment on a Keyboard or Digital Piano.
Performance Opportunities
- Stage Time: Minimum 2 stage performance opportunities per year.
- Digital: Occasional video recording of progress for content.
Policy
- Registration: One time registration fee of INR 1,000 applies to the first month.
- Rescheduling: Allowed only if notified 24 hours in advance.
Indian Classical Vocals
Class Structure
- Format: Private 1-on-1 instruction.
- Duration: 60 minutes per session.
- Streams: Choice of Hindustani (North Indian) or Carnatic (South Indian).
- Progression: Step by step training from Swaras (Notes) to Ragas and Talam (Rhythm).
Traditional Setup
- Seating: Traditional floor seating arrangement with rugs and cushions (Baithak style).
- Instruments: Use of Harmonium and Electronic Tanpura or Shruti box during lessons.
Development
- Technique: Breathing exercises (Pranayama based) suited for classical sustain.
- Events: Opportunities to perform classical pieces at seasonal school recitals.
Policy
- Registration: One time registration fee of INR 1,000 applies to the first month.
- Assessment: Includes a free 30 minute assessment for pitch and aptitude.
- Rescheduling: Strict 24 hour notice required for makeup classes.

My Story
We’re Mela Music School, and honestly, music’s our heartbeat. We started up because we see music as pure magic - everyone’s got their own tune, right? Watching our 'little rockstars' go from nervous newbies to rocking out at our concerts, that’s the real deal for us. Families jam together at our Karaoke Nights, parents belting out 90s hits, and our Indian Recital brings everyone in for some Carnatic and Hindustani melodies. It’s more than lessons, it’s a music family.
