Masterclass in Portrait Mehndi Artistry
I am Naresh, and I am here to help you turn skin into a canvas. In these sessions, we go beyond basic patterns to master facial anatomy, 3D shading, and the art of telling stories with henna.
A full view of a stunning bridal mehndi telling a complete story. The design includes a royal elephant, a wedding procession, and portraits of the couple, all created with intricate detail and shading techniques that I cover in my advanced course.
Practice is key to perfecting portraiture. This video shows two of my practice sketches on a notepad, one of Lord Krishna and another of a traditional wedding scene. My classes emphasize drawing on paper first to master the design.
As a celebrity mehndi artist, I often get requests for portraits of Bollywood stars. This is a Karwa Chauth special design featuring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. In my portrait masterclass, you will learn how to work from a reference photo to create a lifelike henna portrait.
I can create custom portraits from your favorite photos. This client requested a portrait of her and her partner from a picture, which I recreated on her hand, alongside a beautiful Hanuman ji design on the other.
This is the level of detail and storytelling I want my students to achieve. Here, I am creating a full bridal arm piece, featuring a detailed Ganesha portrait, a depiction of a wedding ceremony, and a personal portrait of the bride with her sisters. In my class, you will learn the shading and fine line techniques needed for such intricate figurative henna.
A closer look at some of my practice sketches for bridal henna. These designs, featuring a bride in a palanquin and intricate patterns, are what we practice on paper before moving to skin.

About this collection
In my classes, we do not just start with hands. We begin with paper and pen, mastering basic anatomy and facial shading so you have full control before you ever touch a henna cone to skin. It is not about memorizing patterns, it is about learning to visualize stories on the palm.
My approach to portrait mehndi is simple: if you can imagine it, you can draw it. We move from whiteboard theory to intensive, hands-on practice. We start with paper and pencil because I want your hand to be steady and your strokes to be confident before we touch the skin.
In the Advanced Portrait and 3D Color Masterclass, we dive into face anatomy, skin texture, and shading. You will learn how to look at a reference photo and recreate it, whether it is a traditional deity like Ganesha or a modern couple's portrait. I do not just teach you how to draw a face; I teach you how to capture an expression that makes the design feel alive.
We keep our batches small, usually 10 to 15 students, because I need to see exactly how you are holding your cone and where your pressure is falling. It is physically tiring, your fingers will cramp, and yes, some early designs will not go as planned. But that is the work.
My goal for you is not just to learn a style, but to earn from it. I include a business module in my professional courses because I want you to walk out with a certificate and the ability to manage your own clients. You will get the tools, the cones, and the feedback you need. If you have the passion, I have the roadmap to take you from a hobbyist to a professional.
