A Peek Into My Mehndi Art & Events
I believe every hand tells a story. From live wedding events to the quiet practice sessions in my studio, here is a glimpse into the diverse styles and moments that keep my art alive.
A welcome sign at a client's mehndi event. It's always wonderful to be part of such happy celebrations.
A closer look at some of my practice sketches for bridal henna. These designs, featuring a bride in a palanquin and intricate patterns, are what we practice on paper before moving to skin.
Practice sketches of elephant motifs. The elephant is a symbol of good luck and a popular element in bridal mehndi.
A sweet portrait of two friends or sisters, capturing a moment of connection. This type of figurative work is a key part of my storytelling mehndi lessons.
A detailed sketch of a bride, focusing on the draping of her dupatta and the intricate borders. Mastering these elements on paper is the first step.
A collection of different female figures sketched on paper. We practice drawing various poses and expressions to make our characters come alive.
Sketching different types of motifs, including a family of elephants and a swan. Learning to draw animals is a fun part of the course.
A practice sketch of a bride's face, focusing on the jewelry and expression. These sketches are an essential part of the learning process.
About Additional Work & Event Glimpses
People often ask me how I manage to draw portraits so quickly. The truth is, it is not just speed but thousands of hours of practice sketches. Before a bride gets a portrait of her groom on her palm, I have often practiced that exact expression and drape on paper dozens of times to ensure every line is perfect.
My work is about more than just applying henna; it is a blend of precision, speed, and storytelling. In this gallery, you will see a mix of my live event work and the rigorous practice sessions that happen behind the scenes at my studio in Sampangi Rama Nagar.
Whether it is sketching a traditional elephant motif or perfecting the shading on a bride’s face, consistency is key. My goal is to make sure that when I am working on your hands at a wedding, the design is as flawless as the concepts I teach my students.
I use these specific sketches to demonstrate how to balance complex bridal figures with traditional jaal work. If you look closely at the portraits, you will see how I capture details like jewelry and dupatta drapes. This approach is what I teach in my 10-day bridal certification courses. My philosophy is simple: if you can draw it clearly on paper with a pencil, you can replicate that same magic on skin with a henna cone.
