When I work on these portraits, I focus on the tactile experience. I use high-quality 300 GSM acid-free paper because I want your art to last, not just fade away. Whether it is a mix of gouache for thick, opaque textures or just pure watercolor washes, the goal is to get that raw energy on paper. It is not just about the likeness; it is about the story and the vibe you want to hold onto.
There is something about the way watercolor interacts with paper that feels alive. In this cluster, you will find my more experimental portraits, like the 'Wild lives in her soul' series. I often blend professional-grade watercolors with opaque gouache to build up those heavy textures that you do not usually see in standard water-based art.
