Ever wonder how that perfect glow comes to life? I am peeling back the curtain on my routine, from 24k gold skin prep to the final set touches. Let’s get into the details of my #NOFILTERMAKEUP technique.
Prepping for the spotlight, one stroke at a time. Here I am, adding the final touches to the eyeliner for this classic glam look on the gorgeous Deepti Sadhwani.
A quick glimpse of the getting-ready process. This video shows me working on set, transforming my client into a silver-sari-clad goddess, ready for her shoot.
About My Process & Transformations
People often ask how I get that seamless skin finish without the heavy mask effect. It starts long before the foundation goes on. I rely on intensive, high-end skin preparation, using 24k gold oils and specific hydrating serums, to create a glass-skin base that holds up under studio lights for hours.
The Foundation of Flawless
Before a single drop of product touches your skin, my focus is entirely on hydration. Whether you are a bride or a model, your skin needs the right base to glow. I use a specific mix of 24k gold serums and moisture-locking primers to create a barrier that keeps your skin radiant, not oily. This is my secret to ensuring that even in Mumbai weather, the makeup stays intact for 8+ hours.
On-Set Dynamics
Collaboration is where the real work happens. When I am on a shoot, I am working directly with the photographer and stylist to adjust makeup intensity based on the lighting setup. If we are doing a moody editorial, I might dial back the glow and push the contouring for more structure. If it is a bright outdoor bridal shoot, I lean into the soft, peachy tones to catch the natural light.
Technique Matters
HD and Airbrush are my go-to tools because they offer a breathable, thin layer of coverage that hides blemishes without looking cakey. For red carpet events, I prioritize industrial-strength setting techniques that look invisible to the naked eye. It is not just about applying makeup, it is about understanding textures, light, and movement to deliver a finish that looks real in person.
Meenal Vidhani
I am Meenal, and for me, makeup is less about masking and more about finding your spark. I love the technical side of the chair as much as the creative, and I am always ready to jump from a bridal set in Bandra to a commercial shoot in Goregaon to get the look just right.
