This is one of my signature newborn portraits. I designed this artistic, top-down setup in my studio, carefully placing the sleeping baby in a cozy box surrounded by large, soft paper flowers to create a beautiful, frame-worthy piece of art.
Capturing the connection between parents and their new baby is one of the most special parts of my job. In this tender family portrait, I guided the parents into a natural pose that highlights their love and adoration for their sleeping newborn.
A first birthday is a huge milestone, and I love creating vibrant, celebratory scenes like this one. This setup features a 'Happy Birthday' banner, floral arrangements, and custom 'ONE' blocks, all themed in pink for this little girl's special day.
The best moments are often the candid ones. Here, the birthday boy is sharing a joyful, spontaneous clap while sitting in a miniature armchair, surrounded by festive golden balloons. This shot perfectly captures the happy spirit of a one year old.
For this newborn session, I created a warm and dreamy atmosphere using a hanging basket, a rustic teepee, and soft lantern light. The combination of textures and gentle lighting makes for a uniquely cozy and peaceful portrait of the sleeping baby.
This is from a milestone session, perfect for when babies can sit up and show off their personality. I used a warm, wood-paneled backdrop with string lights and a soft fur rug to create a cozy setting for this baby girl's portrait.

My studio on Railway Station Road is built for comfort, with soft rugs, mini beds, and climate control to keep babies calm during the session. Whether we are doing a peaceful newborn portrait or a messy cake smash, I keep the pace slow and handle all the styling and cleanup, so you just show up and enjoy the moments.
My Approach to Baby Photography
I believe the best photos happen when there is no pressure. My studio is designed to be a safe, relaxed space where your baby sets the pace. If a little one needs a feed or a quick nap, we stop and wait. My goal is to make the experience as stress-free for the parents as it is for the child.
What We Can Capture
- Newborn Sessions (First 15 days): I focus on those tiny details—the fingers, toes, and sleepy expressions. I use soft, natural-toned wraps and gentle lighting to create artful, calm portraits that capture the newness of your baby.
- Milestone Sessions (3–9 months): When your baby starts sitting up, their personality really begins to shine. I use props like mini armchairs and rustic wooden settings to highlight their unique expressions and curiosity.
- First Birthday & Cake Smash: This is for the big milestone. We create a festive scene with 'ONE' letters, balloons, and banners. It gets messy, but that is the fun part. I provide the full setup and post-session cleanup. Just bring the cake, and let me handle the rest.
A Few Practical Details
- Studio Wardrobe: For baby sessions, I have a collection of knitted rompers, wraps, and themed outfits available in the studio. You are welcome to bring one special outfit from home.
- Safety First: Everything in the studio is climate-controlled, and props are sanitized between sessions.
- Family Portraits: I always make space for family connections. Whether you want a simple 'Mommy and Me' shot or a full family portrait, we include these in the larger bundles.
