Traditional and Pooja Decorations in Bengaluru Homes
Fresh-flower doorway garlands, pooja mandaps and welcome arrangements for smaller home ceremonies.
A new home deserves a grand welcome. I constructed this large, traditional entrance arch for a housewarming using authentic materials like woven coconut leaves, fresh banana leaves, and garlands of marigold and jasmine for an auspicious beginning.
For this Gruhapravesham, I created a welcoming entrance that blends tradition with personal touches. The setup features a sacred Ganesha idol, fresh flower arrangements in brass urlis, and a custom banner to welcome Shalini and Praveen to their new home.
This video captures the complete decoration journey for a Gruhapravesham. From the grand traditional arch at the gate to the elegant floral arrangements on the staircase and the welcoming entrance, every detail was planned to fill the new home with beauty and blessings.
Details matter. This twisted garland, or 'thorana', was handcrafted with fresh jasmine and purple flowers to adorn the main doorway. It's a beautiful and traditional way to welcome guests and positive energy into the home for any celebration.
I created this serene and divine space for a pooja ceremony. The traditional wooden mandap is beautifully adorned with delicate garlands of jasmine and marigold, providing a perfect setting for prayer and rituals in the home.
This collage shows how I approach a full housewarming event. The top image displays the spacious hall ready for guests, while the bottom image gives a closer look at the intricately decorated pooja area, ensuring divinity is at the heart of the celebration.
Even a simple entrance can be made elegant and welcoming. For this home, I used minimal floral arrangements paired with stately lion sculptures and a traditional urli with floating flowers to create a graceful first impression for guests.
About Traditional & Pooja Decorations
For Shalini and Praveen's housewarming, we made a personalised welcome setup with Ganesha and brass urlis. Other details include twisted jasmine garlands, banana leaves and a decorated wooden pooja mandap.
Smaller housewarmings and home poojas
Our traditional work includes entrance arches, doorway garlands, staircase flowers and pooja room decoration. We use materials such as jasmine, marigold, banana leaves and woven coconut leaves. The gallery also includes welcome arrangements with statues, urlis and floating flowers.
We still take smaller gruhapravesham work. Large gruhapravesham decor needing huge manpower is outside our current scope. We do not take wedding decor.
Floral budget and payment
Fresh-flower decor requires a minimum budget of ₹20,000. Gruhapravesham requires a budget above ₹20,000, even for a lighter setup. These are minimum budgets, not fixed package prices. Flowers are expensive, and the work includes market runs, transport and labour.
We take 50% advance. The full balance must be cleared before the event begins. Flower decor does not allow cancellation because flowers bought for the booking cannot be replaced.
We are based in Ramamurthy Nagar and work across Bengaluru. Decor and photography together require a separate quote.
