About Editorial & Celebrity Features
Editorial makeup requires a distinct approach compared to bridal or event styling. When I am on set, my focus shifts to how products behave under studio strobes and high-resolution cameras. It is not just about longevity; it is about crafting a specific texture that catches the light and complements the photographer's vision, ensuring every feature remains defined without looking heavy in close-up beauty shots.
When I step onto a set, my process adjusts to the medium. While bridal makeup is built for durability throughout a long wedding day, editorial work is built for visual impact. It is about understanding the lighting setup, the photographer’s perspective, and the narrative of the shoot.
Whether it is a festive campaign like my 'Threads of Tradition' Deepawali series or a high-fashion look for a film festival inauguration, the goal is versatility. For editorial work, I use specific techniques—often focusing on hyper-defined eyes or unconventional skin finishes—that might feel too intense for a traditional wedding but are necessary to cut through the brightness of studio lights.
Collaboration is at the heart of these projects. I work closely with photographers and stylists to ensure the makeup elevates the wardrobe. If we are shooting a heavy Kalamkari lehenga, the makeup needs to bridge the gap between rich tradition and modern, clean-skinned photography. This involves careful color correction and precise product placement so that every pore remains invisible, and every shimmer reflects the light perfectly.
If you are a photographer looking to build a concept portfolio, a model in need of a fresh, camera-ready look, or a brand planning your next campaign, I am ready to collaborate. Let’s discuss your mood board and create something that makes the frame come alive.
