Shoot days are hectic but so creatively fulfilling. This is a behind-the-scenes look at a recent portfolio shoot, working with an amazing team to create some gorgeous content.
Here's a tip for fellow makeup artists. If you're stuck on a step, like getting the perfect winged liner, move on and come back to it later. Sometimes a fresh perspective is all you need for perfection.
Skin prep is the most important step for a dewy base. This serum is one of my holy grails for hydrating the skin, especially for clients with dry skin, ensuring a smooth and radiant makeup application.

People often ask if makeup can hide every single flaw, but the secret to a flawless finish is actually great skin prep. I do not believe in caking on product. Instead, I work in thin, buildable layers that move with your skin, so you look radiant in person, not just in photos.
Makeup is a conversation between the artist and your skin. I never aim to completely change your features because you are beautiful just as you are. My goal is to enhance that, whether we are doing a soft-glam engagement look or a full-blown traditional bridal setup. Here is how I approach my work:
The Foundation is Skin Prep It sounds cliché, but good makeup starts with healthy skin. I always prioritize hydration, exfoliation, and high-quality skin prep products. If your skin is happy, your makeup will sit perfectly, looking glowy and fresh instead of dry or textured.
Thin Layers, Better Results Many people think more product equals better coverage. I do the opposite. I work in thin, intentional layers. This ensures the makeup lasts all night, handles humidity, and doesn't get cakey, even under bright wedding lights. You need to look radiant in person, not just in an edited photo.
Real, Unedited Artistry I am a huge advocate for showing real skin texture. When you look at my work, you see the finish. I avoid heavy filters because I want you to trust that this is how you will actually look when you walk down the aisle.
Communication is Everything Please share reference photos with me. It helps me understand what you envision. If you are nervous, know that I have been there.
