About The Art of Makeup: Process & Expertise
Before a single drop of foundation touches your skin, I spend thirty minutes on deep preparation using ice globes and hydration-focused products. I treat your skin like a canvas that needs to breathe, not a surface to be covered. By building a hydrated base with Dior or Estée Lauder products, I ensure your makeup lasts through long ceremonies or dance floors without ever looking cakey or feeling heavy.
My journey began behind a Dior counter, where I learned the science of products—not just how they look, but how they interact with skin. I carried that rigor into my work today. Whether you are a Maharashtrian bride needing precise traditional draping or a modern bride wanting a dewy reception glow, my process is consistent about one thing: skin health.
I do not believe in heavy masking. My base work involves detailed analysis—identifying your skin type to select the right primers and color-correcting strategies. For my dry-skin brides, I skip the powder and lean on cream-based blushes and illuminators to lock in that youthful radiance. For those with oilier skin, I balance high-coverage HD foundations with breathable, setting-focused techniques.
It is also about the small decisions. How we clasp a nath, how we fix a maang tikka, or how we mix lip shades to match your jewelry undertones. These are not just aesthetic choices; they are functional steps to ensure your look stays secure. I test my color palettes in different lighting—from harsh daylight to artificial stage lights—so you look exactly as radiant in person as you do in your wedding photos. Makeup is an intimate collaboration. You bring your vision, and I bring the technical expertise to ensure it feels like you.
