About Behind the Scenes: My Process
Before I even pick up a brush, I focus heavily on skin prep. For my Bangalore brides, that means hydrating sheet masks so your makeup sits right and stays fresh for hours, even during long ceremonies. It makes all the difference in how the foundation blends and how natural your skin looks under stage lights.
You see the final look, but the magic happens in these little steps. Whether I am blending eyeshadow for a reception look or pinning a heavy Kanjeevaram, I am always focused on the details. I don’t just apply makeup; I prepare your skin so that it feels comfortable, not heavy or cakey. For my reception brides, I use high-coverage products like Huda Beauty and MAC that hold up for hours, even if you are dancing the night away. I also make sure the saree draping is super secure. I use professional-grade pins and techniques, so you don’t have to worry about your pleats shifting while you are meeting guests.
Hair is another big part of my process. Whether we are doing a traditional long Jadai with fresh flowers or modern curls, I take the time to set everything perfectly. I use hair extensions when needed to get that right volume and ensure all the jewelry—the Billas, the Rakodi—is fixed securely. You don't have to stress about anything.
