My Makeup and Hair Styling Process
Getting ready for your big day is a journey. From calming skin prep to the final accessory, here is how I build a look that feels just like you.
The first step to long-lasting makeup is good skin prep. Here, I am applying soothing under-eye patches for my bride Alankrita to hydrate and brighten the under-eye area before we begin the makeup.
This video shows a few glimpses of my process. You can see me setting the hair, carefully draping the saree, and applying makeup, all parts of the complete service I offer to make your day stress-free.
A close-up of the eye makeup process. Here I am creating a sharp, defined cut-crease with concealer. This technique helps make the eyeshadow colors pop and defines the eye shape beautifully.
This before-and-after clip shows the full transformation. It all starts with a conversation about the look you want to achieve, and I build on it step-by-step to bring your vision to life.
About this collection
The secret to makeup that lasts through a whole ceremony is never just the foundation. I start every single appointment with targeted skin prep, like using cooling under-eye patches and intense hydration, so the base settles into your skin rather than sitting on top of it. This keeps you comfortable, even under hot studio lights or while wearing heavy traditional garlands.
My Approach: From Prep to Perfection
I believe makeup should feel like a second skin. You want to look like yourself, just more powerful and radiant. Because I know how emotional and sometimes stressful wedding days can be, I have designed my process to be a moment of calm before the celebrations begin.
1. The Foundation of Great Skin Everything starts with a clean canvas. I don't believe in heavy layers. I use high-end international products like NARS and Huda Beauty to build a breathable, HD base. Whether you want a dewy glow or a matte finish, I prep your skin so the makeup stays sweat-resistant throughout your rituals.
2. Eyes and Details Your eyes are the window to your emotions on your big day. I specialize in detailed eye work, including cut-crease and halo techniques, to make your features pop in photographs. I also ensure your lashes are applied perfectly so they don't feel heavy or uncomfortable.
3. Hair and Draping My service doesn't stop at makeup. I handle structural hairstyling—including traditional South Indian Poola Jada (flower braids) and secure bun setting—so your hair stays in place all day. I also take care of saree draping, pinning your heavy Kanjeevarams or lehengas so you can move freely without worrying about the pleats.
4. Why Customization Matters Every outfit and every event has a different vibe. We will talk through your look before I start. Do you want to recreate a classic look? Or do you want something modern and trendy? I am here to listen. My goal is to make sure that when you look in the mirror, you see the best version of yourself.
I handle the tools and the stress. You just sit back, relax, and let me help you get ready.
