About Grand Mandaps & Reception Stages
I do not believe in standard catalog sets. When I design a stage, I look at the architecture of the venue first. Whether you want a temple-style mandap with stone-washed textures or a modern reception setup with cascading florals and chandeliers, my focus is on creating a physical space that holds the specific emotion of your day. I build pieces that fit the dimensions and lighting of your banquet or lawn.
My design process starts with your story. If you are having a traditional South Indian wedding, I focus on deep heritage elements—like brass bells, stone-washed pillars, or hand-painted floor designs—to make the mandap feel grounded and sacred. For reception stages, I shift the focus to atmosphere. I enjoy working with rich fabrics, floral density, and specific lighting to ensure the stage feels warm, even in large banquet halls.
Sustainability is a big part of how I work. I often incorporate terracotta, locally sourced foliage, and organic structures instead of relying solely on heavy plastic or imported flowers. This creates a textured, earthy look that stands out in photographs.
I also consider the logistics of your venue in Bangalore. Whether you are hosting an intimate garden wedding or a large hotel reception, I tailor the scale of the structure to fit the space.
