A Look Behind My Mehendi Process
Step inside my workspace to see how I combine biochemistry with traditional art to create safe, beautiful, and long-lasting henna designs.
A lovely moment applying mehendi for a bride to be. I cherish being a part of these special pre wedding ceremonies and bring this experience into my bridal mehendi training modules.
This is me in my element, applying an intricate ankle and foot design. I use a comfortable, ergonomic setup to ensure I can focus on the details and provide the best experience for my client.

Every stroke matters. This image captures the careful application of a complex pattern on the palm, showcasing the fine lines and shading techniques that I teach in my classes.
My workspace is always ready for creativity. This is a typical setup for a home client visit, complete with fresh henna cones and a decorated backdrop to create a festive atmosphere.
Presentation is part of the experience. Here are my beautifully decorated henna cones, arranged on a traditional platter, ready for a mehendi event or party.
About Behind the Scenes
When you see me working, you will notice I prioritize ergonomics and lighting just as much as the henna itself. Applying intricate bridal designs takes hours, and if I am not sitting at the right angle, that affects the precision of my strokes. By setting up a dedicated, well-lit workspace for every client, I ensure my hand remains steady, which is exactly how I achieve the clean, fine lines you see in my portfolio.
Being a Biochemist gives me a different perspective on mehendi. It is not just about the design; it is about the chemistry of the ingredients that touch your skin. When I show you my process, I am also showing you the precautions I take as an ISO 9001:2015 certified artist.
The Science of Safe Henna
Everything starts with the paste. I do not use store-bought cones because I need to control exactly what goes into the mixture. I analyze the Lawsone dye release and the pH balance to make sure the stain is deep and the application is safe for all skin types, including sensitive skin and pregnant clients.
My Workspace Setup
Whether I am at your venue or in my studio, I bring my own setup to maintain hygiene and comfort. This includes professional-grade lighting and a stable seat, which are essential for long events. When I am working on a bridal piece, these details allow me to focus entirely on symmetry, shading, and the complex patterns that define my signature style.
From Paste to Pattern
My workflow is organized to ensure consistency. I prepare my cones in small, fresh batches to maintain the perfect consistency for fine detailing. If you look closely at my work, you will see how this preparation translates into the sharpness of the Mandalas and the clarity of the figurative art I create. My goal is to combine the precision of a scientist with the creativity of an artist so you get a beautiful design that stays dark and vibrant.
