About Artistic & Timeless Portraits
These sessions are all about stripping back the noise. By focusing on silhouettes and high-contrast black and white imagery, I remove the distraction of colors, leaving only the raw emotion of your journey. It is just you, your partner, and that beautiful anticipation, captured in a way that feels quiet, powerful, and real.
Why go monochromatic?
Color is great, but sometimes it tells you too much. When I shoot these artistic portraits in my B. Channasandra studio, I am looking for the lines, the curves, and the gaze between you and your partner. Black and white photography forces the eye to focus on the expression and the touch, not the outfit or the background.
The process
- Studio control: These shots rely on lighting. I use my studio setup to create that signature high-key or low-key look, depending on the mood we want to set.
- Posing with a purpose: While I provide direction to get the right angle, I am waiting for that 'almost kiss' or the way you naturally hold your bump. That is when the magic happens.
- Timing: These artistic sessions can be added to my standard 30-45 minute studio package, or we can dedicate a full 90-120 minute session to explore different silhouettes and fine art setups.
Whether it is a solo maternity silhouette or a couple portrait, these images are meant to be timeless. They do not age. They are the kind of photos you hang on your living room wall and stop to look at every time you walk past.
