When you book a studio session, the gown is the centrepiece of the shoot rather than just an accessory. I offer a range of premium flying gowns and classic maternity dresses designed specifically to accentuate your bump. During the session, we adjust the fabric flow in real time to create dramatic silhouettes or soft, romantic lines, ensuring the final images feel natural rather than staged.
Choosing the right look for your maternity session is about balancing comfort with style. In my Bellandur studio, I maintain a collection of outfits that cater to different visions, whether you prefer something minimalist or highly dramatic.
The Difference in Gown Styles
- Classic Sessions: These feature elegant, solid-colored gowns that focus on the simplicity of the pregnancy silhouette. They are perfect for a clean, timeless look that keeps the attention entirely on you.
- Premium Creative Sessions: For a more artistic approach, these packages provide access to my premium flying gowns. These garments have long, flowing trails that we manipulate during the shoot to create movement and drama. We often pair these with floral sets or specific lighting techniques to build a unique scene.
Preparing for Your Shoot
We typically schedule these sessions between 28 and 33 weeks, when your bump is well-defined and you are likely feeling more mobile. You do not need to worry about posing; I provide gentle guidance throughout the 1.5 to 3.5 hours we spend together. If you are feeling camera-shy, we start with simple poses to build your confidence before moving into more elaborate setups.
We provide the gowns, but if you have a specific pair of heels, jewellery, or a meaningful item like an ultrasound frame you want to include, bring it along. The goal is to make the portraits a reflection of your personality and this specific chapter of your life.
