How We Shoot Turning One
Turning one is a huge deal, and we treat it that way. Our sessions are designed to be fun, not a chore for your child. We typically spend 90 minutes to 2 hours in the studio, which gives us plenty of time for the baby to warm up to the environment, get through the portraits, and finally get to the messy part.
Themes and Setup
We have over 40 distinct setups in our Horamavu studio. From the popular 'Boss Baby' or 'Little Krishna' themes to clean, minimal portrait backdrops, we have the inventory to match your vision. If you have an idea in mind, tell us—we love creating custom setups. We also provide the wardrobe, including tutus, rompers, and accessories, so you do not need to worry about styling.
The Process
- Portrait Phase: We start with clean, classic portraits before the cake appears. This ensures we get those beautiful smiles while the baby is fresh.
- The Smash: This is where the fun happens. We set up the cake station, and whether your baby is a delicate eater or grabs it with both hands, we capture it all.
- Cleanup: Yes, it gets messy. That is the point. We handle the post-smash cleanup so you leave the studio without a massive mess to deal with at home.
Our Approach to Safety
We are Dabboo Ratnani certified, but more importantly, we are parents ourselves. We prioritize your baby's comfort above the shot. If they need a break for a feed or a snuggle, we pause. The goal is a happy baby, because that is where the real expressions come from.
