About First Birthday & Cake Smash Fun
The cake smash is the highlight for most parents, but please keep in mind that I ask parents to bring the cake themselves for allergy safety. I manage everything else—from the formal portraits at the start to the bubble bath cleanup at the end—so you walk in with your baby and walk out with a clean, happy one-year-old.
My Cake Smash Process
My sessions in my Annapurneshwari Nagar home studio are designed to move at your baby's pace. I know that turning one can be overwhelming for a little one, so I split the session into three distinct stages to keep them comfortable. We start with formal, clean portraits so we capture them while they are still fresh. Then, we bring out the cake.
What to Expect
Once the smashing begins, I let them explore and get messy. Don't worry about the cleanup; the session wraps up with a bubble bath stage, which often yields some of the cutest, most candid photos. My packages include 15 high-resolution edited photos and a 'Before and After' collage, because seeing the transformation from neat birthday boy or girl to cake-covered toddler is a favorite for many parents.
Planning Your Shoot
- Themes: Whether you want a simple teddy bear setup, rainbow balloons, or something unique, I have the props ready. Let me know the vibe you prefer when booking.
- Timing: These sessions run between 60 to 90 minutes. I always leave room for breaks, soothing, and feeding.
- Outfits: You can change your baby’s outfit twice—once for the formal portraits and once for the messy cake smash.
