Discover our signature range of handcrafted teak and rattan furniture, blending modern functionality with the enduring beauty of natural materials.

This is where timeless design meets pure relaxation. My handcrafted 'Toshi' rocking chair, made from solid teak with a handwoven rattan seat and back, is more than a piece of furniture; it's an invitation to slow down. I designed it to be a vintage classic for the modern home.

I believe furniture should bring people together. This living room set, featuring a 5-seater teak wood sofa and armchairs with vibrant blue upholstery and rattan details, was crafted to create a space that is both elegant and incredibly inviting.

The dining table is the heart of many homes. This setting features one of my signature live-edge teak tables, paired with classic rattan dining chairs. The natural edge of the wood means every table is unique, bringing organic warmth to your meals.

Your bedroom should be a sanctuary. I build bespoke beds like this one, featuring a headboard with intricate teak and rattan paneling. Paired with a matching 'Cuo' side table, it creates a cohesive and peaceful space built to last for generations.

The 'Malben' chair showcases my love for bold lines and natural materials. This video highlights the chair's strong, geometric teak frame and the contrasting texture of its woven rattan backrest, a piece designed to be both a seat and a sculpture.

Craftsmanship is in the details. This custom-made teak console table features gracefully turned and carved legs, showing a more classic side of my work. It’s a versatile piece that can serve as a study desk, an entryway table, or a display cabinet.

For those who want a truly unique statement piece, I created the 'Dome' chair. Its cocoon-like shape, formed from bent teak and woven rattan, offers a private, cozy nook for reading and relaxing. It’s a conversation starter that blends artistry with comfort.

A close look at the corner of my 'Romaji' bench reveals the soul of my work. You can see the rich grain of the solid teak wood and the precision of the handwoven rattan. These are the details that ensure my furniture is not just beautiful, but enduring.

About Featured

When you choose solid teak, you are investing in furniture that truly improves with age. Because we use traditional mortise and tenon joinery instead of external screws, each piece maintains its structural integrity through years of daily use. If you see slight variations in the wood grain, that is the natural signature of solid teak, not a defect. We build these to be permanent fixtures in your home, designed to withstand Bangalore's climate without warping or wobbling.

Our Design Philosophy

At Kursi Studio, we believe furniture should be more than just functional. We focus on the 'artful fusion of strength and beauty,' creating pieces that serve as the soul of a room. Whether it is the bold geometry of a teak chair or the gentle curve of a rattan backrest, every detail is intentional.

Why Choose Our Pieces

  • Authentic Materials: We exclusively use premium, sustainably sourced teak, rattan, and bamboo. These materials offer longevity and a warmth that synthetic alternatives cannot match.
  • Handcrafted Integrity: We avoid mass production. Each curve, weave, and joint is shaped by hand. This level of craftsmanship ensures that no two pieces are identical, giving you something truly unique.
  • Modern Comfort, Classic Artistry: We design for the modern Indian home. Our pieces mix classic artisan techniques with contemporary silhouettes, ensuring they fit seamlessly into your living space.

The Custom Experience

If you have a specific vision, we can bring it to life. We work closely with you to transform rough sketches or Pinterest ideas into finished, custom-made furniture. From selecting the right wood stain to choosing the perfect fabric, we guide you through the process to ensure the final result is exactly what you need. Our studio in Indiranagar is always open if you would like to see the materials and craftsmanship firsthand.
