About Bangalore Live: Capturing the City's Soul
Since I paint on-location, capturing a specific spot requires good weather and a safe sidewalk space. I generally need about 3 to 5 hours on-site to finish a piece. If you have a specific street corner or favourite view in mind, let’s chat about the best time of day to catch the right light.
When you choose a live painting of a specific location, you aren't just buying a painting. You are getting a piece of the city's energy. I work with oil and acrylics to capture the light and movement I see in front of me, whether it is the filter of sun through Banyan trees or the grit of a busy street corner near a metro station.
My Process
My art is about patience and practice. I don't work from photos unless necessary. I prefer being on the ground, mixing colours while the world moves around me. For custom cityscapes, I scout the location first to understand the best angle and the right time for lighting. Once we agree on the site, I set up my easel and work until the composition feels true to life.
What You Get
- Live Painting Sessions: I come to your chosen location in Bangalore, paint, and you get the original piece the same day.
- Customised Views: If you cannot be there, give me a reference photo or describe your favourite spot. I will recreate it using my on-location techniques.
- Materials: I use high-quality canvases and paints that are protected with a varnish layer, ensuring your painting lasts for years.
Whether it is the view from your balcony or a landmark that means something to you, I can turn that memory into a tangible, textured painting.
