Original Hyper-Realistic Art from my 30-Day Challenge
Two years ago, I spent 240 hours creating 24 hyper-realistic sketches in 30 days. These original pieces are now looking for a permanent home.
In this video, I talk about my 30-day challenge where I made 24 realistic sketches in 30 days. I'm now selling these original drawings because I want them to find homes with people who will appreciate them.
Here I am with the full collection of 24 drawings from my 30-day challenge. Seeing them all together represents over 240 hours of intense work and focus.
A quick video showcasing the entire grid of my 30-day challenge sketches. It was an incredible experience of dedication, spending over 240 hours to create this body of work.
"Strength." This piece from the series shows a tightly wrapped fist, symbolizing resilience and power. It's a hyper-realistic drawing made with charcoal and graphite.
"Time." This drawing features a hand holding a vintage pocket watch, with cracks running through the skin. It explores the fragile and broken nature of time.
"Space." Here, a pair of hands gently holds a swirling galaxy. This piece was an attempt to capture the vastness of the universe in a small, intimate drawing.
A hyper-realistic drawing of an eyeball from my 30-day challenge. I focused on the intricate details of the veins and the reflection on the surface.
"Iris." This is a close-up study of the complex patterns within an iris. The high contrast between the white graphite and the black background makes the details pop.
The three ancient Greek elements: Earth, Water, and Fire, depicted as a set from my collection. These three drawings are designed to be displayed together.
"Gentleness." This drawing of a hand carefully holding a bird was part of my 30-day challenge. These original artworks are now available for sale.
About Original Art: The 30 Day Challenge
These pieces are original, not prints. I created each one on 14 by 14 inch Bristol Strathmore paper using graphite and charcoal to achieve deep, high-contrast shadows. I spent 10 hours on every single drawing to get those textures right, from the skin pores to the fine hair strands.
I wanted to see how far I could push my focus. For 30 days straight, I sat down for 9 to 10 hours every day, putting aside everything else to just sketch. My goal was realism, but I ended up exploring themes like strength, doubt, and how we perceive time.
You can see this in pieces like 'Strength,' where a bandaged fist shows resilience, or 'Time,' where a pocket watch feels fragile against cracked skin.
These are not mass-produced images. Each is a 14 by 14 inch study on heavy Bristol Strathmore paper. Because I used a mix of graphite and charcoal, the blacks are deep and the details are precise. I have sealed them so they stay protected, but they are ready to be framed and hung up.
If you are looking for art that has a story behind it, or just want something honest on your wall, these originals are exactly that. Send me a message if one of them speaks to you.
