About Art Workshops & Live Events
My workshops aren't about being perfect. We usually pick a quiet corner in a cafe, sketch for a bit, and use coffee washes to add those warm, earthy tones to our drawings. I provide all the materials—paper, pens, and the coffee mix—so you don't need to carry anything. It’s mostly just a space to switch off, focus on the lines, and maybe laugh a little with the others.
What to Expect at a Workshop
Whether it is my Urban Sketching session or the Eye Sketching tutorial, the goal is the same: to stop overthinking and just draw. We usually meet at cafes like Third Wave Coffee in Thane or the Starbucks Reserve in Fort. I pick these spots because they have a certain rhythm that makes sketching feel natural.
For urban sketching, we focus on capturing city scenes—buildings, streets, and architectural details—using waterproof fine-liners. Once the lines are down, we use brewed coffee to add those warm, sepia-toned washes. It's a fun, sensory process that completely transforms a simple sketch into something with depth.
If you join the Eye Sketching workshop, we dive a bit deeper into realism. I walk you through the anatomy and shading techniques using graphite and charcoal to capture textures like skin pores and hair strands. You don't need to be an artist to join. Most people who come have never drawn before, and that’s perfectly fine.
What You Take Home
Besides the art you make, every participant gets a digital urban sketching guide. It’s meant to help you keep the practice going at home, long after the workshop ends. All materials are covered in the price, so you just need to show up ready to engage with the process. If you're planning a private event, a bridal shower, or a team activity, I can also organize custom sessions tailored to your group.
Kshitij
Hi, I'm Kshitij. I believe anyone can draw if they give themselves the permission to make mistakes. These workshops are my way of sharing that quiet, focused joy I find in sketching—whether it's capturing a city street or the detail of an eye.
