Learn Realistic Eye Sketching in Mumbai
You don't need years of practice to sketch a realistic eye. In this workshop, I break down the anatomy of an eye into simple light and shadow steps so you can create a piece you will actually want to frame.

The final reveal! Participants proudly showing off their incredibly realistic eye sketches at the end of the workshop.
Here I am giving one-on-one guidance during an eye sketching workshop. I make sure to help each person with their specific drawing.

The magic of blending. A participant uses a brush to create smooth gradients and bring the eye sketch to life.
This is how we start. Using a reference photo on a phone, a participant carefully sketches the basic outline of the eye.

A hyper-realistic eye sketch from my personal collection. I love exploring the details and textures of the human eye.
Another piece from my personal eye series. The challenge is capturing the reflection and life within the pupil.
This piece explores abstract reflections in the eye. It's a mix of realism and imagination.
About Realistic Eye Sketching
We do not start with complex anatomy theory. We start by looking at a reference photo together, picking up a graphite pencil, and figuring out how light hits the curve of an iris. Even if you have never held a blending stump before, I will walk you through the layering process so you can build that depth without feeling overwhelmed.
Why I focus on eyes
The human eye is full of tiny details, reflections, and textures. It is the perfect subject for understanding how to manipulate light and shadow with graphite. In my Masterclass, we skip the fluff and get right into the technical bits that actually make a drawing pop.
What you will learn
- Shading fundamentals: How to use your pencils (HB to 8B) to create smooth gradients that look like skin, not just smudged gray.
- Depth and form: I show you how to use a kneaded eraser to pull out highlights from the pupil, which gives the eye that 'living' look.
- Texture techniques: How to draw individual eyelashes and the subtle veins that make an eye look real rather than flat.
The Workshop Vibe
I keep these sessions small, capped at 10 participants. This ensures I can walk around, look at your paper, and give you 1-on-1 critique on your pressure and blending technique. Whether we are hosting at a cafe in Mumbai or Thane, the goal is the same: to give you a space where you can be quiet, focus on your work, and walk away with a piece you are genuinely proud of.
We provide all the professional materials, including reference images, charcoal sticks, and blending stumps. All you need to do is show up ready to draw.
Kshitij
Hey, I am Kshitij. I have spent years obsessed with the details in graphite drawings, and honestly, the human eye is my favorite thing to break down. I love teaching these technical bits because watching that spark when you finally nail a realistic shadow is pretty cool.
