Community & Youth Self-Defense Training
Safety isn't a sport, it's a survival skill. I work with schools, community groups, and women’s organizations across Delhi to break the 'freeze' response and teach practical, real-world self-defense.
This is the official poster for a Self Defense Awareness Program for girls that I conducted in collaboration with the Delhi Police and Empowered Women's Association.
School girls stand in formation, ready to learn the fundamentals of situational awareness and self-defense at a government school in New Delhi.
Addressing a group of young students before starting the practical training session. It is crucial to first explain the mindset of self-protection and personal safety.
Demonstrating basic striking techniques to school girls. Teaching them how to use their fists and elbows effectively is a core part of building their confidence and defensive capability.
A live demonstration of striking pads during the school workshop. This allows students to see the power and form of a proper strike in a safe and controlled manner.
About Community & Youth Training
Most self-defense programs just show you flashy moves, but I start by teaching you to see the threat before it arrives. Whether you are in a crowded market or walking home late, my first priority is helping you identify danger and break the mental block that makes people freeze when they are under pressure.
Why This Is Not A Sport
When I work with schools or community groups, I leave the rituals and points-based rules at the door. Yahan pe koi rules nahi hain (There are no rules here). In a real-life threat, there is no referee to stop the fight or count to ten. My training focuses on simple, aggressive, and effective movements that work regardless of your age, fitness level, or muscle mass.
The 'Mindset First' Approach
Many of my students tell me they were scared to even step outside because they felt vulnerable. That fear is normal, but it shouldn't dictate your life. I teach you how to turn that fear into a survival mechanism. We cover:
- Situational Awareness: Learning to scan your environment to avoid a conflict entirely.
- The Freeze Response: Techniques to force yourself out of the mental paralysis that happens during an attack.
- Practical Defense: Using everyday objects—pens, bags, or even your own voice—to create space and get away safely.
Partnering For Safer Communities
My work with the Delhi Police and local schools isn't just about training; it's about building a culture where people look out for each other. I bring these sessions directly to your location, whether it's a government school assembly or a neighborhood community center. We don't need mats or special equipment. We use the space you have, so you can learn how to defend yourself in the exact environments where you live and move every day.
