Learn Bachata: Smooth Footwork & Sensual Moves

You do not need to bring a partner to join our Bachata classes. We actively rotate partners throughout every session, which helps you learn to lead or follow with different people. This is a standard practice in Latin dance that builds confidence and helps you make new friends right from your first day in the studio.

Your Bachata Journey with KK Dance

Bachata is all about the groove and the connection. If you are intimidated by the sensual nature of the dance or think you have two left feet, our classes are designed to change that. Divit, our lead instructor, breaks down the music and movement into simple, manageable pieces that focus on foundation before flare.

What to Expect in Class

• Foundation First: We start with the basics of weight transfer, hip movement, and the signature Bachata rhythm. You will learn the difference between Dominican and Sensual styles, giving you a versatile foundation.
• Partner Technique: Learning to connect is the most important part. We teach clear lead and follow signals so you can dance with anyone, whether at our studio or out at a club.
• Progressive Learning: Our batches move through levels at a steady pace. You will not feel rushed, but you will be challenged as you move from basic steps to turns and partner combinations.

The Studio Experience

We are located in Green Park, just a one-minute walk from the Metro station. The studio is a basement space equipped with full-wall mirrors and air conditioning, specifically set up to be a judgment-free zone. We know that learning a new dance can be awkward at first, which is why we cultivate a 'family' vibe. After class, our studio socials are the perfect place to practice your moves in a real-world setting, meet other dancers, and just enjoy the music. If you are looking for rapid technique correction, we also offer private 1-on-1 sessions where we can focus entirely on your posture and frame.
