Behind the Brush: My Artistic Process
Welcome to my creative space. This is where I share my journey, from the initial digital sketch to the final paint strokes on your wall.
For me, art is the one constant. This video shows me working on a lobster mural, finding peace and purpose in the creative process. Art is my anchor.
A look back at my journey through 2023. The year was filled with so many different projects, from detailed portraits and large festival decorations to commercial murals. I'm grateful for every opportunity to paint.
About Behind the Brush
I do not start painting until you are fully comfortable with the concept. I use Procreate to create a digital mock-up, overlaying the artwork directly onto a photo of your wall. This allows us to adjust proportions, colors, and layout together, ensuring the final result perfectly matches the vision you have for your space before I even pick up a brush.
My process is a mix of traditional techniques and modern planning. Whether I am painting a detailed Pichwai-inspired mural or a large commercial graphic, I rely on a structured approach to ensure quality.
The Workflow
Everything starts with a conversation. After we discuss the vibe, I create a design and overlay it on a photo of your wall. This step prevents surprises. For murals, I combine airbrushing with fine brushwork. The airbrush helps me lay down smooth gradients and background colors quickly, which is efficient for large-scale commercial work. I then switch to small brushes for details, such as the precision needed for Pichwai art or facial features in a portrait.
Durability and Care
For home interiors and high-traffic commercial spaces, I use high-quality acrylic emulsions mixed with artist-grade pigments. To ensure your mural lasts, I apply a clear coat varnish. This protective layer makes the wall wipeable, which is essential for gyms, cafes, or homes with children.
Cultural Roots
My work is often inspired by my Aagri Koli roots and my faith. I find that when I paint with intention, the art resonates more deeply. Whether it is a Ganpati backdrop on durable Manjarpat cloth or a modern pop mural, I aim to create something that feels authentic to your story. If a design requires adjustments, I am happy to iterate until it feels right. Art is a connection, and I want that connection to be perfect.
