About Around the World: International Festivals

Joining an international festival can feel intimidating if you are not a pro, but it is the fastest way to level up your salsa or bachata. We usually travel with a group from our Bangalore studio, so you are never navigating workshops or party lineups alone. It is really just about soaking up that international energy and bringing it back home to our weekly socials.

More Than Just Travel

For us, dance is a passport. We have been traveling together for over 15 years, from the Korea Salsa Congress in 2007 to the most recent Vietnam International Latin Festival. These aren't just vacations. We go to immerse ourselves in the global salsa, bachata, and kizomba scene, learning from international artists and bringing those fresh turn patterns and techniques back to our students in Koramangala.

What to Expect

When you join us on a festival trip, you get a full immersion experience. You are looking at 15 to 20 hours of workshops over a few days, ranging from fundamentals to intensive bootcamp choreography. It is high energy, often going until 3:00 AM, but the growth you see in your own dancing after a few days of constant practice is incredible.

Bringing Global Styles to Bengaluru

We don't keep what we learn to ourselves. Whether it is a new way to lead a turn or a fresh style of musicality we picked up in Vietnam, we integrate it into our weekly classes and our Sunday socials at LA RUMBA. We believe that if you want to dance, you should be able to feel the rhythm just like the best dancers in Asia or the US. If you are interested in joining our next group trip, reach out and we can walk you through the logistics, from festival passes to travel tips.
