Beyond the basics lie focus, precision, and power. See how traditional Tameshiwari and Okinawan Kobudo weapons training define our approach to martial arts mastery.

This photo was taken 15 years ago, showing one of my senior students, Sharan Susheel, executing a powerful side-kick to break a stack of tiles. This demonstrates the practical power of our techniques.

A demonstration of a tile breaking technique, known as Tameshiwari. This requires immense focus, precision, and control, which are core components of our advanced training.

A portrait of me with a pair of sai, a traditional Okinawan weapon. Our curriculum also includes Kobudo, the art of Okinawan weaponry, for advanced students.

This collage shows the intensity of karate, from a powerful tile breaking demonstration to our team's success at the National Open Karate Championship in Kolkata.

About Advanced Skills & Demonstrations

Advanced training here is not just about breaking boards; it is about Kime, or focus. When you see us demonstrate Tameshiwari or handle Okinawan sai, you are seeing the result of years of repeating the same syllabus exactly as it is taught in Japan. If you want to move beyond recreational classes and understand how traditional techniques generate real power, this is where you start.

Authentic Lineage, Real Results

We do not dilute our curriculum. Every year, I travel to Okinawa to train under the masters, ensuring the Shorin-ryu Shorinkan syllabus remains identical to its source. This means our advanced training is not modified for convenience; it is taught with the same discipline applied in the Honbu Dojo.

The Science of Tameshiwari

Many students ask why we perform Tameshiwari (breaking). It is not a spectacle. This practice forces you to align your mind, body, and breath instantly. If your technique or focus is off by a fraction, the target does not break. It is the ultimate test of control and structural integrity, proving that your technique works under pressure.

Kobudo Weapons Training

Advanced students also progress to Kobudo, the traditional Okinawan weapons art. Learning to handle the sai or bo staff requires the same postural discipline as empty-hand Karate. It deepens your understanding of distance, timing, and kinetic energy, which in turn improves your standard karate movements.

A Disciplined Path

We do not skip steps. Whether you are aiming for a black belt or simply want to understand the mechanics of power, we teach you how to generate force from the ground up, not just from the arm. This is training for life, rooted in a tradition that goes back decades.

I founded this federation in 1992 with just 14 students in Bannerghatta. Today, my mission remains unchanged: keeping the authentic Okinawan Karate syllabus alive, exactly as I learned it from my masters in Japan.
