Holi & Easter Art Workshops for Kids
Bring the magic of spring to your home. Whether we are mixing safe, organic Holi colours or crafting charming Easter baskets, I help kids create, learn, and get delightfully messy.
For Easter, we went beyond regular egg painting and created these adorable farm animal eggs. Each child decorated their own bunny, rooster, or piggy egg to fill their handmade basket.
I believe in safe and fun celebrations, which is why I love teaching kids and parents how to make their own organic Holi colors. This video shows my simple, two-ingredient recipe using cornflour and food coloring.
About Colors of Joy: Holi & Easter
When I host these workshops, my priority is keeping the fun high and the stress low for you. For Holi, I don’t use store-bought powders. I guide the children through mixing their own organic colours using simple ingredients like cornflour and food essence, which is safe, non-toxic, and easy to wash off. For Easter, we move past basic egg painting. We create farm-animal-themed eggs and hand-woven baskets that kids actually use, turning the activity into a complete creative project rather than just a quick craft.
Festive Art Done Differently
My festive workshops are designed for the Mumbai home, where space might be limited but the desire for creativity is huge. I arrive at your venue, whether it’s a living room in Khar or a garden space, with everything prepared.
The Holi Process Parents often worry about stains and skin irritation during Holi. In my workshops, we solve this by making our own colours. It’s a sensory experience where kids learn the science of mixing textures and colours. The best part? It cleans off instantly. We focus on the joy of the 'colour splash' without the harsh chemicals.
Easter Creativity Easter is about renewal, and I love seeing how kids approach decorating their eggs. We use various materials beyond just paint—think foam beads, ribbons, and textures to create bunnies, roosters, and little piggy faces. These aren't just eggs; they become part of a larger farmyard scene that the children build themselves during our 60-90 minute session.
What I Handle
- Safety First: I use food-grade ingredients and ensure every material is child-safe.
- Zero Cleanup: I bring table covers, aprons, and easels. When the party ends, the mess leaves with me.
- The Takeaway: Every child leaves with their own creation—a tangible memory of the festival.
My goal is to give you a celebration where you can actually enjoy the moment with your child instead of worrying about the logistics. Let’s make this festival a little more colourful and a lot more creative.
Kids Palette
I’m Kanishka. I started this journey a decade ago with a simple art party for my own child, and I’ve been chasing that same spark of joy ever since. I believe festivals are best celebrated with messy hands and happy hearts. I’ll bring all the supplies, handle the setup, and ensure your kids have a wonderful, creative time.
