Mastering the game starts with the basics. We focus on repetitive drills to build muscle memory, turning simple dribbling into a weapon you can use on any court.

This is where the journey begins. A young athlete in my kids basketball academy learning to control the ball through a cone drill. My instruction is simple, move fast and control the ball.

Concentration is key. These young players are focused on dribble control drills. We practice these fundamentals every session to build muscle memory and confidence.

Ball handling warmups are essential. Here you can see a group of players working on their control and rhythm before we move on to more complex drills.

My girls team working hard on their dribbling skills. I ensure all players, boys and girls, get the same level of attention to build their fundamental basketball skills.

A simple warm up drill to get the hands and feet working together. Every player in the line is focused on controlling their basketball while moving.

An Under 10 dribbling and shooting session in action. Even in a large group, the focus is on individual skill development and getting lots of repetitions.

The energy in the Under 9 category is always high. We channel that energy into fun drills that teach them how to dribble and move with the ball.

About Fundamental Skills: Dribbling & Ball Control

We don't just bounce the ball; we build a connection with it. In my sessions, we use structured cone drills and constant repetition to turn awkward movements into second nature. It does not matter if you are 9 or 19, the only way to get better is to keep your hands moving at full speed, session after session.

Why Fundamentals Come First

Many players want to jump straight to fancy layups or 3-pointers. That is a mistake. Basketball is a game of control, and if you cannot handle the ball under pressure, you cannot compete. At KBBA, we treat dribbling as the foundation of your game. Whether you are training with our U9s or our senior teams, the focus remains on the same thing: keeping your eyes up, body low, and the ball protected.

The KBBA Grind

My coaching style is hands-on. I am not a coach who stands on the sideline holding a clipboard. I am on the court with you, correcting your stance, shouting to keep the energy up, and ensuring you are not just going through the motions. We use static dribbling to get the feel of the ball, then move to dynamic cone drills to force you to move with it.

  • Static Dribbling: We start here to build finger strength and rhythm. If you can't control the ball standing still, you won't control it at game speed.
  • Cone Drills: This is about coordination. We set up obstacles that force you to change direction, use your off-hand, and protect the ball.
  • Game Speed: We do not practice slow. Every drill mimics the intensity of a real game because that is the only way to get better.

Where We Train

We run these sessions across Delhi and Jaipur, with our main hub at the Kids Basketball Academy in Gaur City 2, Greater Noida. If you have the passion to show up, we have the space for you to grind.

I am Ankit, and at KBBA, we call this the 'nursery of champions'. I do not just watch from the sidelines; I am on the court right next to you, correcting your form and pushing you to move faster. My goal is simple: helping you master the fundamentals so you can play with confidence.
