Building for Sound

Our harmoniums are built from seasoned Toon or Teak wood, chosen for durability and tonal quality. The core of each instrument is a 3.5 saptak (octave) range, equipped with 9-stopper configurations that allow you to control airflow and drone notes effectively. We ensure every unit is tuned to the A440 Hz concert pitch standard, making them reliable for both solo practice and group Kirtan.

Choosing Your Model

• Standard Box Harmoniums: These are built for stability. If your primary use is at home or in a fixed practice space, these offer superior sound projection and a solid feel.
• Portable Safari (Folding) Models: Designed for the traveling musician. These fold into a compact, suitcase-style profile, allowing you to carry your instrument to baithaks and concerts without compromising on sound depth.

Maintenance and Longevity

We provide a padded carrying bag with every folding model and a standard cover for box harmoniums to protect against humidity and dust. Because we are an academy first, we understand the wear and tear instruments face during daily riyaaz (practice). We select instruments with smooth, multi-layer bellows to ensure consistent pressure, preventing the common issue of air leaks that can plague lower-quality harmoniums.
