Painting Adventures: Kids Art Classes in Gurugram
Bring ideas to life with vibrant colours. From soft pastel landscapes to bold acrylic scenes, we help children in Gurugram build confidence through step-by-step artistic guidance.
This 3D landscape project was such a fun and unique experience. My student first created a textured base and then used acrylic paints to build up layers of color, creating mountains and valleys. It is a great example of how we mix painting with craft techniques.
Even a small surface can hold a big world. Here, a student is adding fine details to a miniature landscape painting on a small wooden disc. This activity helps develop fine motor skills and a steady hand, showing that art can be created in all shapes and sizes.
I love seeing my students so focused on their work. This young artist is using oil pastels to create a vibrant sunset over the water, learning how to layer colors to get that beautiful evening glow. These are the moments of quiet concentration where real learning happens.
Art can also carry a powerful message. In this session, my students created artwork for Earth Day, showing how even small hands can make a big difference. This piece beautifully uses color to show the earth being cared for.
This adorable penguin painting was created by a six year old student using oil pastels. I guided him on how to blend the sky with soft colors and how to draw the penguin's shape, but the cheerful personality of the little bird is all his own.
Look at the wonderful colors in this tortoise drawing. This young artist is using oil pastels to fill in her creation, learning how to apply pressure to make the colors bright and lively. It is pure joy watching them bring animals to life on paper.
Here is another one of my students working on her tortoise painting. She is carefully adding details with her pastels, showing great focus. My classes are designed to give each child the individual attention they need to build their confidence and skills.
This macaw painting is a great example of how we explore color. The student is using a variety of bright oil pastels to capture the bird's vibrant feathers. This kind of project helps children understand color combinations and how to create texture.
Here is a closer look at a student working on her macaw artwork. She is carefully using an eraser to clean up the edges, a technique I teach to make their drawings look neat and professional. It is the little details that make a big difference.
This video shows a glimpse of our summer art camp in action. You can see the kids completely absorbed in their colorful pastel drawings. I make sure my classroom is a lively and encouraging place for young artists to thrive.
About Painting Adventures (Pastels, Watercolours & Acrylics)
I do not just teach kids to copy a picture; I show them how to handle a brush and blend colours so they truly understand the medium. Whether we are working on a sunset scene or a character study, I keep my batches small—usually 4 to 5 students—so I can personally guide each child’s grip and technique. It is about building their confidence, not just getting the drawing right.
At Khushiyan Drawing and Art Classes, painting is more than just putting colour on paper. It is an exploration of perspective, light, and texture. In my studio at Spaze Privy, Sector 72, I walk children through the logic behind each stroke to ensure they feel capable and proud of what they create.
How We Explore Mediums
- Oil Pastels: We focus on blending gradients to create smooth transitions, perfect for young artists learning to manage pressure and depth.
- Acrylics: For older students, we explore layering techniques to build complexity in landscapes or portraits, handling synthetic brushes and mixing colour palettes.
- Watercolours: We teach the patience required for wet-on-wet techniques, allowing colours to flow and interact naturally on the paper.
Why Our Approach Works
I believe in teaching children how to think, not just what to draw. By breaking down complex subjects into basic geometric shapes, even a child who feels they cannot draw a straight line gains the tools to express themselves.
We offer both weekday and weekend batches, with sessions ranging from 60 to 75 minutes depending on the age group and complexity. Because our classes are small, I can give every student the individual attention they need to find their own creative path. Whether it is a tribute sketch or a wild doodle, every effort here counts.
Khushiyan Drawing Classes
I started these classes after watching my daughter, Divyanshi, draw her dreams on paper. My studio in Spaze Privy, Sector 72, is a warm space where I help your little ones express their unique stories through art.
