About Bandaje Falls: Edge of the Waterfall
The trek to Bandaje Falls is a proper test of stamina, leading you through dense forest trails and steep, slippery grasslands. We handle the critical logistics—including forest department permits and the essential 4x4 jeep transfers to the trek base—so you can focus entirely on the climb. Expect a wet and muddy ascent, so pack high-grip hiking shoes and bring your sense of adventure.
This is not a casual stroll in the park; it is a true Western Ghats adventure. Starting from Bangalore on Friday night, we head into the Chikmagalur region where the trail begins. You will navigate through thick canopy cover before emerging onto the rolling grasslands that eventually lead to the cliff edge.
What to expect on the trail
The highlight is standing at the edge where the river plunges 200 feet into the valley below. During the monsoon, the mist is heavy and the terrain is slippery, making the trek challenging but rewarding. You will need a decent level of fitness to tackle the ascent.
