About Martial Arts Classes
My Martial Arts Journey
Martial arts is my passion and the thing that keeps me going. I started as a student, travelled as a competitor, and now I train others. I've won medals in places like Thailand and Goa, but I’m still learning every day. Namma life-la oru fire irukkanum (We need some fire in life), and for me, martial arts is that fire.
What You’ll Learn Here
When you train with me, you join the BGI Karate Family. We mostly focus on Shito-ryu karate classes, practicing both Kata (forms) and Kumite (sparring). This isn’t just any karate, it’s namma Karate (our karate), and I teach it with all my heart. You’ll also get to try traditional Silambam training (mastering the stick), plus bits of Kobudo, gymnastics, Ushu, kung-fu, and boxing - all mixed in to make you a complete martial artist.
Who Can Join?
Anyone who wants to learn is welcome. We teach kids (boys and girls), adults, seniors, and even people with disabilities. Beginners and advanced students are all part of our gang.
The BGI Way
We train in our dedicated dojo in Tirupattur, and sometimes outside, in the villages - oru village atmosphere romba super (the village vibe is awesome). Students move up from yellow to black belt with regular tests. I also do martial arts competition coaching, helping you prepare for big tournaments.
Beyond Regular Classes
We arrange seminars with masters, including Grandmasters from Japan. There are self-defense workshops for women and college students, plus summer camps for karate and silambam.
My Gurus and Our School Legacy
What I know, I learned from my masters, like Shihan N. Kathiravan. Our school is part of big organizations like WKF and KIO, so your belt and skills are recognized everywhere.

My Story
Hey, I’m Karate Naveen. Life’s best when you’re making memories, right? I’m a Martial Arts Master, but honestly, I’m always learning. Trained in India, Japan, and even had some crazy good times in Indonesia. Just finished my B.Com in Tirupattur – parents over the moon! Last year, my own college called me to teach self-defense for girls. That felt unreal. Besides karate, I’m all about family, friends, and even a bit of acting in Tamil cinema. Tirupattur and its sandalwood, super close to my heart.
My Work
Martial Arts & Self-Defense Classes - I teach Karate, Silambam, Gymnastics, Kobudo, Kung-fu, Ushu, Boxing, plus women’s self-defense and summer camps.
Champion’s Coaching - As an international karate champion, I train students with the same fire. My BGI champs have won big!
For All Ages - Kids, college students, anyone wanting strength and discipline – you’re welcome. Basics first, then step-by-step growth.
Respect for Masters - I learn from grandmasters and bring those traditional Kobudo lessons and techniques to my students. Karate family vibes always.
