Saree to Gown or Fusion Wear
Scope of Work
- Consultation: 1-on-1 session to sketch the silhouette and plan optimal border/pallu placement.
- Preparation: Deconstruction of the original piece, steam pressing, and fabric strength assessment.
- Tailoring: Custom stitching of a single-piece outfit (Gown, Frock, or Jumpsuit).
- Fit Assurance: Inclusion of 1-2 inches of extra margin inside for future alterations.
Materials Included
- Protective Lining: Double-layer approach using Shantoon for structure and 100% Malmal Cotton against the skin.
- Volume: Addition of Soft Tulle or Hard Net (Cancan) in the skirt for flare.
- Trims: YKK Zippers, matching threads, and piping.
Chargeable Extras
- New embellishments (crystals/embroidery) or additional base fabric if the saree length is insufficient.
Saree to Traditional Lehenga Set
Scope of Work
- Design Strategy: Precision cutting to utilize the Saree Pallu for the blouse and borders for the hem.
- Construction: Creation of a 2-piece (Lehenga Choli) or 3-piece set using Kalidar or box-pleat techniques.
- Finishing: Seamless restoration and attachment of vintage borders.
Materials Included
- Structure & Volume: High-quality Satin or Butter Crepe base lining plus multi-layered Hard Net (Cancan).
- Comfort Layer: Pure cotton inner lining to prevent itching.
- Blouse Structure: Includes padding (cups) and canvas fusing for a wrinkle-free fit.
Signature Add-ons
- Accessories: Handmade 'Latkans' (tassels) for the waist made from saree scraps.
- Detailing: 3D fabric flowers created from the original fabric if design permits.
Heirloom Boys' Ethnic Wear
Scope of Work
- Fabric Stabilization: Full 'Fusing' process to stiffen soft saree fabric for a crisp Nehru Jacket look.
- Tailoring: Pattern making and stitching for Kurta Pyjama or Bundi Jacket.
Materials Included
- Interlining: Specialized stiffener bonded to the fabric.
- Comfort: Full cotton lining for the body.
- Bottoms: Matching cotton silk or cotton fabric for Pyjama/Chudidar provided by Karasa (if saree fabric runs out).
- Hardware: Premium metal or matching potli buttons.
Usage Note
- This service is often used to create sibling sets using leftover fabric from a primary Lehenga or Gown conversion.
