We rescue senior and sick pedigree dogs like Labradors, German Shepherds, and Bulldogs who were abandoned once they were no longer 'useful'. These animals deserve safety and dignity, not the streets.

Stella, an American Bulldog, was used for illegal breeding and then abandoned when her owner couldn't afford her injury treatment. We took her in, and now she has recovered and started walking again. She is ready for a real, loving home.

Discarded like trash in old age. This poor German Shepherd, Savvy, was tied to a pole on a main road in Ghaziabad and left to die. Imagine living in a home your whole life and ending up like this. He is now safe with us at a boarding facility.

This German Shepherd was tied to a pole in Sainik Farms and left. We rescued him and named him Sainik. He is now safe at Paws Pet Boarding, but his story is a sad example of how pets are abandoned.

Sainik, a young German Shepherd, was tied to a car and abandoned in Sainik Farms. He is medically fit and only about two years old. He is now safe with us and looking for a family that will not fail him again.

An urgent call to help us locate this old, abandoned Labrador near Rohini Sector 23 Shamshan Ghat. It is heartbreaking to see senior pets, who have given a lifetime of loyalty, dumped on the streets.

Casper, a senior Labrador, sleeps peacefully with a friend at our boarding. He was sent to us for permanent boarding in 2020 but was then abandoned by his rescuer. He is one of over 70 abandoned dogs in our permanent care.

A close up of Casper, our senior Labrador. He has such a gentle soul. He was abandoned by his rescuer a year ago, and we are now looking for virtual adoption parents or sponsors to help us manage his care.

Casper, our abandoned senior lab, has skin issues and requires ongoing medical care. The cost of caring for abandoned senior dogs is significant, which is why sponsorships are so vital for us.

Casper at our boarding facility. He came to us in 2020 and has been living his senior life with us since. We are his forever family now, but we struggle to manage the costs for all our abandoned kids.

About Second Chances for Abandoned Pets

Caring for an abandoned pedigree dog like a senior Labrador or a retired breeding Bulldog is a massive responsibility that goes beyond basic rescue. We handle complex medical boarding, daily wound management, and nutrition for these seniors because their previous owners often discarded them specifically to avoid these costs. When you see our work here, understand that it is a daily, 24/7 commitment to keeping them comfortable and safe for the rest of their lives.
