I plan these sessions to hit the Golden Hour just right, ensuring we catch that soft, directional light through the pine trees before the train schedule or the shifting mountain weather changes the scene.
The UNESCO-listed Kalka-Shimla railway offers a rustic, vintage backdrop that feels untouched by time. Whether we are shooting near the Glen area or along the tracks winding through the dense deodar forests, the setting provides a cinematic quality that is hard to replicate.
We will spend 6 to 8 hours covering 3 to 4 distinct spots, including the tracks, stone bridges, and nearby forest trails. I focus on capturing your real, candid moments—a hand-in-hand walk or a quiet laugh—rather than stiff, forced posing.
Practical Tips for your Shoot
- Styling: I recommend a mix of casual layers for the forest terrain and a standout outfit like a flowing gown or traditional Himachali attire to pop against the rusted tracks and green pines.
- Comfort: We are at high altitude and the terrain is uneven gravel. Wear comfortable footwear for the walks, and we can switch into your main outfits once we reach the best spots.
