The Grind: My Boxing Journey & Motivation to Train Hard
Fitness is not about the wins, it is about the days when you do not feel like showing up. This is the reality behind my training.
Welcome to Episode 1 of my series, 'Life of a Desi Boxer.' A boxer's day starts when most of the world is asleep. This is a glimpse into my discipline, my passion, and the daily grind.
Work hard in silence, let success make the noise. This is the philosophy. The training in the dark is what prepares you for the lights of the ring.
"Dekhna, ek din sab sahi ho jayega." (One day, everything will be alright). This is the mindset. We fight through the hard times, knowing that better days will come. Until then, we keep working.
You chose this path. You owe it to yourself to see it through. This is a reminder that on the hard days, you remember your 'why' and keep pushing.
Patience is the key. In boxing and in life, you have to wait for your moment, stay composed, and keep working towards your goal.
The weight cut is on. This is one of the toughest parts of being a fighter, requiring immense discipline and mental fortitude.
Another shot from the weight cut process. Feeling the grind but staying focused on the goal.
In the zone during a weight cut. It's a lonely process, but this is where champions are made.
"Aab to hadd he hogyi hai" (This is the limit now). Seeing the number on the scale was a wake-up call. This video marks the start of my weight loss journey, sharing my full workout routine to get back to my fight weight.
Another check-in on my weight loss journey. This workout was a tough one, but every session brings me closer to my goal.
About The Grind: My Journey & Motivation
Real training is not just about hours in the gym, it is about managing your recovery and mindset when progress stalls. Whether you are cutting weight or building explosive power, I track your intake and form daily to ensure you are not just working hard, but working right.
You won't find shortcuts here. Being a professional boxer has taught me that the biggest wins don't happen in the ring, they happen in the dark, during those early mornings when you would rather stay in bed. My training style is rooted in that discipline.
The Hybrid Athlete Approach
I don't separate bodybuilding from boxing. We use a hybrid system that combines:
- Combat Conditioning: Footwork, head movement, and heavy bag drills to build fighter-style stamina.
- Functional Strength: CrossFit-style movements, Olympic lifts, and compound exercises designed to build a body that is useful outside the gym.
- Hypertrophy vs. Strength: We will break down the 'why' behind every set, ensuring you understand the mechanics of what you are doing.
Practical Training in Delhi NCR
Whether you are training with me at BoxCrossFit in Mayur Vihar or I am traveling to your location in Delhi NCR, the protocol remains the same. I don't just count reps. I watch your form through video analysis and adjust your macro-nutrition based on your daily progress.
This isn't about looking good for a photo. It is about building a core that protects your spine, a cardiovascular system that doesn't quit, and a mindset that handles pressure. If you are ready for the 'asli' (real) grind, where we track your weight, adjust your diet based on your recovery, and push through the days where you feel weak, then you are ready to train with me.
