About Individual & Studio Portraits
Whether we are working in my studio at Whitefield or finding light in a garden, my process is intentionally slow. I do not believe in rushed poses or forcing a smile. Instead, we spend time settling into the space so that the final images reflect how you truly hold yourself, not just how you think you should look for the camera.
Portrait photography is rarely about the lens; it is about the quiet exchange between the subject and the photographer. When we meet for a session, we are not just taking photos. We are documenting a specific moment in your life. My approach draws from my experience with candid storytelling, meaning even in a controlled studio setting, I look for the unscripted pauses—the way you tilt your head or the softness of your gaze when you think no one is watching.
I offer two primary environments for these sessions. My studio in Prestige Shantiniketan is ideal for clean, timeless portraits—think professional headshots, minimalist fashion studies, or classic black and white frames where the focus remains entirely on your expressions. Alternatively, we can take the shoot outdoors, utilizing the natural light of a park or a quiet garden setting to create a more relaxed, lifestyle narrative.
Before the shoot, we will have a conversation about your vision. You do not need to be a professional model to work with me. My role is to guide you into comfort, to remove the camera from the equation, and to capture the person you are when you are most at ease.
