About Individual Portraits: The Art of You
I use a lighting technique called Chiaroscuro—the dramatic interplay of light and shadow—to give your images depth and an emotional richness that feels more like a classic painting than a standard digital photograph. During our time in the studio, I guide you through poses so you don't have to worry about looking stiff, allowing us to find that one honest, quiet moment that is uniquely yours.
My approach to individual portraiture is rooted in the belief that a photograph should be a legacy, not just a profile picture. When you step into my Yelahanka studio, the focus shifts entirely to you and your story.
The Fine Art Process
Every session is deliberate. We don't rush. We work with textured, hand-painted backdrops and carefully controlled light to minimize distractions. This setup allows us to move away from the 'say cheese' pressure of typical studio photography and move toward something more evocative.
What to Expect
- Guidance: If you feel awkward in front of a camera, you are in good hands. I provide micro-managed posing advice to ensure we find angles that make you feel comfortable and look natural.
- Styling: We can discuss the mood beforehand. Whether you want to wear corporate wear, something traditional, or use one of the gowns from my client closet, the goal is to make the image feel like a reflection of your personality.
- The Edit: Each image goes through detailed retouching—color grading, skin smoothing, and light adjustment—to ensure the final result is gallery-ready.
