See what #lifewithdogs actually looks like at our Basavanagudi facility, from focused training sessions to fun-filled pack play.

This is what a happy, well-balanced pack looks like. Here you can see a variety of breeds including Labradors, a Golden Retriever, a Husky, and a Doberman all resting calmly together in our open yard, even with people walking around. We practice focus and calm behavior daily, which helps dogs feel secure and settled.

Nothing beats the pure joy of a game of fetch in our spacious play area. We believe in letting dogs be dogs, which means plenty of room to run, play, and get a little muddy. This one-on-one playtime is a big part of how we build a strong, trusting bond with every dog.

Our care isn't confined to our facility. We occasionally take our well-behaved, long-term boarders on scenic outings like this one. A German Shepherd, a Labrador, and a Golden Retriever are seen here enjoying a day off from training, exploring the beautiful landscape.

Every dog is family here, and we celebrate birthdays with full enthusiasm. This is Champ the Labrador's 5th birthday, complete with a traditional blessing, a dog-friendly cake, and lots of love from his human family and friends. This is the home-away-from-home experience we promise.

Our community is our strength. This is a snapshot from our Friendship Day celebration, bringing together dozens of dogs and their parents. It shows the wonderful community of dog lovers that has grown around K9 Gurukul.

We integrate training into everything we do. This video shows a focus training session where a Golden Retriever learns to maintain attention on the handler despite other dogs playing nearby. This practical skill helps dogs stay calm and responsive in distracting environments.

The bond between a human and a dog is something special. We nurture this connection through shared experiences, like this quiet moment enjoying the magnificent view of Jog Falls. It’s these memories that last a lifetime.

About Featured

Our facility is not a sterile kennel with tiled floors. We use an open-air sand yard where dogs get dirty, run, and wrestle in the mud. It is messy, but it is how they release energy and learn social cues naturally. If you want a pristine indoor space, we might not be the right fit. However, if you want your dog to socialize and actually be a dog, this is the place.
