When photographing high-profile talent, the challenge is to strip away the noise. I believe that the camera is an instrument that teaches us how to see, and with celebrities, my goal is to reveal the human being behind the public persona. Whether it is an athlete preparing for the Olympics or an actor for a luxury eyewear campaign, the process remains consistent: we aim for raw, cinematic, and honest visuals.
My Approach to Commercial Campaigns
I am not just the photographer on set. I often step into a creative director role, helping to shape the entire visual identity of the campaign. My workflow involves:
- Concept Development: We begin with a pre-shoot consultation to align on visual strategy, ensuring the mood board reflects the brand's core values.
- On-Set Direction: With a background in film and fashion, I manage high-profile talent to extract specific, emotive performances rather than just posing them.
- Technical Excellence: I use 100MP medium format gear to ensure every shot is crisp and ready for large-format media and billboards.
The Collaborative Process
I rely on a tight-knit unit—digital technicians, photo assistants, and top-tier stylists—to execute the vision.
