About Hairstyling & Saree Draping
Saree draping is not just about pinning—it is about the silhouette. Whether you are wearing a heavy Kanjeevaram silk or a lighter Chiffon, I make sure the pleats are ironed, spaced evenly, and anchored so they don't shift when you move. For hair, I focus on balance; I use volume-building techniques for thin hair and secure pin-ups for heavy jewelry, so you don't need constant touch-ups or feel weighed down while dancing.
Getting ready for a big day should be a joy, not a stress. Over the years, I have seen so many brides worry about their saree coming loose or their hair going flat by the time the reception starts. My goal is to make sure that doesn't happen.
My Approach to Draping
I handle various fabrics with care. A heavy silk saree requires a different approach than a flowy designer lehenga. I ensure the pallu length is perfect for your height and that the fabric is draped to highlight your best features while remaining comfortable. If you have a family heirloom saree that is stiff or hard to manage, I know how to pleat and tuck it to ensure it looks graceful throughout the ceremony.
Hairstyling That Lasts
My kit is equipped to handle all hair types—from poker straight to curly textures. If you want a traditional look with jasmine flowers (gajra) or a modern half-updo with soft curls, I prioritize structural integrity. I don't just 'spray and pray'; I build the hairstyle using proper sectioning and quality products so it holds up even in Chennai or Bengaluru humidity.
