About Engagement & Pre-Wedding Looks
My focus for engagements is to find that perfect balance: 'skin tone theriyanum,' meaning your natural skin should be visible, just enhanced. For engagement events, I prioritize luxury prep using hydration masks and pore-filling primers to create a stable base, which is crucial for high-quality flash photography. If you are worried about pigmented or acne-prone skin, I use precise color correction techniques to ensure a smooth, lasting finish without needing a heavy, cakey layer.
Your Engagement, Your Way
Your engagement is usually the first time you work with a professional artist for a major life event. It sets the tone for your bridal style, so we want it to be perfect. My philosophy is simple: we start with a consultation to discuss your outfit and your comfort level. If you tell me, 'Base heavy-a vena' (I don't want a heavy base), I listen. We build a look that lets your features speak, using high-end products like NARS and MAC that are proven to work on Indian brown skin.
The 3.5-Hour Transformation
My engagement package is designed as a 3.5-hour experience. This isn't just about applying products; it is about setting a foundation for the entire event.
- Luxury Skin Prep: We start with hydration masks and primers to get that 'glass skin' glow that stays fresh throughout your function.
- Flash-Ready Makeup: Using HD or airbrush techniques, I contour specifically for the lighting you will face, ensuring you look great in person and on camera.
- Eyes & Details: Whether you want cut-crease, halo eyes, or a soft romantic look, I customize the application to your eye shape. I also include premium mink lashes and body illuminator for that extra radiance.
Hair and Draping
The look isn't complete without the hair and saree drape. I handle everything from jasmine-infused braids to modern textured updos. If you have a heavy Kanjeevaram or a designer lehenga, my structured draping ensures your outfit is pleated and pinned perfectly so you can move, dance, and enjoy your celebration without a single worry about a loose pallu.
