Our advanced sessions focus on functional performance rather than just routine. We integrate 20 minutes of high-intensity agility ladder drills and calisthenics directly into our technical training. Whether you are refining your Kenyu Ryu kata or hitting the heavy bag for power, you are getting a full-body workout that translates into real combat capability.
We strip away the noise. At iPPON, advanced training is about the mechanics of power generation. Our conditioning cycle shifts based on your goals, utilizing heavy bag work for striking impact, plyometrics for explosive movement, and technical drills for precision.
The Training Pillars
- Functional Conditioning: You will not find treadmill rows here. We use gymnastic rolls, pull-up variations, and strength training to build the raw, functional strength that translates directly into sparring.
- WKF Standard Sparring: Our competitive kumite drills utilize World Karate Federation rules to sharpen your reaction timing. It is about strategy, distance management, and finding your opening under pressure.
- Kenyu Ryu Foundations: We do not discard tradition. We apply it. Every session reinforces Kihon stances and Kata precision, ensuring your basics are solid even when you are fatigued.
This environment is demanding. We provide 20mm EVA puzzle mats and an open, fan-cooled floor space that mimics the reality of a tournament environment.
