About Living & Dining Spaces
When designing open-plan living and dining areas, the biggest challenge is defining zones without making the room feel small. We often use custom wooden partitions or varying ceiling patterns to create a visual boundary between the lounge and dining table. This keeps the space airy while ensuring each area has its own purpose, whether you are hosting guests or relaxing after work.
Designing a combined living and dining space in a Mumbai apartment requires a careful balance of flow and function. We prioritize layouts that maintain a clear path for movement while maximizing seating capacity. Our design process starts by analyzing how you use your space. If you host large family dinners, we focus on the dining table placement and lighting. For those who prioritize movie nights, the TV console and sofa arrangement become the main focus.
We incorporate smart storage solutions like floating TV units, hidden shoe cabinets near the entrance, and display units for your decor. Materials matter significantly in our process. We frequently use rattan, fluted glass, and veneer finishes to add texture and warmth without the visual heaviness of solid wood. Our team manages all civil and electrical work, ensuring that switchboards and plumbing points align perfectly with your new layout.
Lighting is the final layer that brings everything together. We layer cove lighting, track lights, and statement chandeliers to adjust the mood from bright and functional for daily chores to soft and ambient for evenings. Whether you prefer a minimalist look or a touch of vintage flair, we translate your preferences into a 3D visualization before we pick up a single tool. This eliminates guesswork and ensures the final result matches the plan. We handle the entire project from material selection to the final handover, keeping the process transparent and straightforward.
