Modern & Integrated Pooja Units for Mumbai Homes
Bring peace and functionality to your home with a custom mandir. I design seamless, space-saving pooja units that blend perfectly with your living room interiors.
This modern mandir is a great example of a sleek, integrated design. The high-gloss finish and dual-tone look match the contemporary feel of the home, while the backlit interior adds a touch of divinity.
Here, the pooja unit and TV cabinet are designed as one continuous piece. The marble-finish back panel and wood accents flow across both sections, creating a sophisticated and unified feature wall in the living room.
A standalone pooja unit can also have a modern feel. This design uses a clean white finish, simple lines, and elegant jaali work, making it a peaceful and stylish addition to any room.
Here is a sneak peek of a new project. You can see how I am combining a modern TV unit with a beautifully crafted pooja unit, ensuring the design language is consistent throughout the living space.
About Modern & Integrated Pooja Units
I take measurements personally on-site, ensuring your pooja unit fits flush with your existing living room furniture or TV cabinet. Getting the dimensions right matters more than anything else in our compact Mumbai flats because once we start applying the laminates, there is no room for error. This process ensures a clean, built-in look that does not block your walkway.
Building a 'Devghar' is about balancing faith with the reality of living in Mumbai. I focus on making the space feel divine without sacrificing square footage.
My Approach to Mandir Design
- Space Integration: Whether you have a specific niche or want a shared wall with your TV unit, I create designs that flow with your home's existing layout.
- Smart Storage: I include hidden drawers for your diya and incense supplies, plus a pull-out prasad tray so your offerings are always organized and out of the way.
- Modern Aesthetics: If you prefer a contemporary look, I use high-gloss, premium laminates and fluted glass. For a softer, spiritual glow, I install concealed LED halo lighting behind custom CNC-cut jaalis featuring your family deities or mantras.
Quality You Can Trust
I build these units using 18mm BWP (Boiling Water Proof) Marine Grade Plywood, specifically chosen to handle Mumbai's humidity. Every hinge is a soft-close mechanism to prevent slamming, and the finish is hand-checked by me before I consider the project done. You get a unit that is sturdy, practical, and fits the vibe of your home perfectly.
