This corner is a blend of spirituality and modern luxury. A traditional Pichwai painting of Lord Krishna is the focal point, complemented by a golden console table, lotus wall art, and a vibrant teal accent chair.
In this multifunctional dining space, I incorporated a serene mandir wall featuring the 'Om' symbol. This design gracefully balances the social energy of a dining and bar area with a divine touch that grounds the room.

About Sacred Spaces: Pooja Units
We build prayer units designed for long-term use in Mumbai apartments. We use BWP plywood to prevent dampness and include practical details like pull-out trays for your lamp and prasad, soft-close storage for daily essentials, and backlit CNC jali panels that create a calm, warm glow. Every design is planned to be both functional and peaceful, ensuring the space remains a clean, uncluttered part of your daily routine.
Practical Mandir Design for Daily Rituals
In Mumbai, we know space is tight and humidity is a real issue. That is why we focus on durability first. Our mandirs are constructed with BWP plywood so they stand up to the local climate, and we finish them with high-gloss PU paint or acrylic laminates that are easy to wipe clean.
Making it Functional
A prayer unit needs to be more than just a shelf. We plan the internal storage so you have a specific spot for your dhoop, oil bottles, and lamps. The pull-out tray extension is a standard feature we add so you do not damage the stone or laminate surface when placing hot lamps or prasad.
The Lighting Logic
We do not rely on harsh overhead lights. Instead, we use warm white LED backlighting behind our CNC cut jali panels. It creates a soft, halo effect that makes the space feel grounded and quiet. If you have a specific idol size in mind, we adjust the shelf heights and dedicate a focused spotlight right where it counts. 🪔
