Interior Finishes and Custom Craftsmanship
True luxury lives in the smallest choices. From hand-carved console tables to custom wall treatments, here is how I focus on the finer details that define a space.
Craftsmanship is at the heart of my design philosophy. This close-up shows a handcrafted console table with intricate gold-leaf detailing and carved wooden elements, created to be a unique and personal piece for a client's luxurious living space.
Lighting is a key element in setting the mood of any space. This reel showcases a variety of lighting solutions I have used, from classic chandeliers and modern pendants to artistic globe lights, each carefully selected to complement the design of the room.
Even utilitarian spaces like bathrooms deserve thoughtful design. This video montage displays several toilet designs from my projects, featuring luxury materials like semi-precious stone countertops, patterned wallpaper, and elegant lighting to create sophisticated environments.
Another detail of the bespoke console table, this time showing the carved floral motif on the leg. I work closely with artisans to ensure every piece of custom furniture reflects the client's individual style and elevates their home.
This is a digital mood board I created for a showroom design. It shows how I blend diverse textures like antique mirror, metallic paint, and custom wallpaper to create a rich, layered, and visually interesting highlighter wall.
About this collection
Many clients focus on the big furniture pieces, but I spend half my design time on the tactile elements—the weight of a door handle, the grain of book-matched marble, or how light hits a fluted wall panel. These small, deliberate choices are exactly what separate a standard room from a space that feels deeply personal and thoughtfully layered.
Why Details Define a Space
When I work on a project, whether it is a corporate office in Connaught Place or a boutique in Indiranagar, I view the finishes as the voice of the design. A space might have the right layout, but it is the texture of the walls and the quality of the joinery that dictate how a room feels to be in.
My Approach to Materiality
I prefer to work with materials that have depth. This includes:
- Natural Stone: I frequently use book-matched marble for reception areas and feature walls, ensuring the veining flows seamlessly across the surface.
- Textured Wall Panels: From fluted wood to padded leather, these additions create shadows and interest that paint alone cannot achieve.
- Custom Joinery: Every piece of furniture I design is built to fit the specific needs of the room. This includes hidden storage solutions with high-quality hardware and precise finishes like PU polish or veneer.
Lighting as a Structural Element
Lighting is not just about brightness; it is about guiding the eye. I utilize magnetic track lighting for flexibility and anti-glare COB downlights to highlight specific textures in the room. By combining ambient, task, and accent lighting, I ensure that the craftsmanship of the finishes is visible at all hours of the day.
Collaborative Design
I work closely with skilled craftsmen to bring these ideas to life. If you have a specific vision for a piece of furniture or a particular finish you have seen elsewhere, we can adapt that concept to suit your environment perfectly.
