About this collection
When booking an acoustic set, the most important detail is the space. For smaller living room gatherings, I strip it back to just me and my guitar so conversations are never drowned out. If you’re hosting at a venue with a bit more background noise, adding a tabla or keyboard player—what I call my 'Mehfil Trio'—fills the sonic space without turning it into a loud concert. It is about finding that balance where the music enhances your evening rather than competing with it.
My goal isn't just to play songs; it's to create an atmosphere where your guests feel comfortable enough to request their favorite ghazals or even join in for a chorus.
Why go acoustic?
An unplugged session is all about intimacy. Whether it is a terrace party in Delhi or a private evening in Dubai, the focus is on the lyrics and the melody. I keep the arrangements raw—vocals and rhythm guitar are at the core. This format works best when you want a relaxed, conversational vibe where people can still talk, laugh, and enjoy the music at the same time.
Choosing your setup
- Solo: Just me and my guitar. Perfect for house parties, romantic dinners, or quiet restaurant gigs where you want a background presence that feels personal.
- Duo/Trio: We add a tabla player or keyboardist. This is my recommendation for larger gatherings or spaces that need a bit more depth. The tabla brings that authentic Sufi rhythm, making the music richer while keeping it perfectly chilled.
How we handle the playlist
I love a request-friendly environment. My setlist is flexible, ranging from old-school Bollywood hits and Sufi kalaams to modern unplugged covers. Before we start, I like to chat with you about the 'vibe' of your guests. Do they prefer nostalgic 90s tracks, or do they want a soulful Sufi night? Tell me, and we will build the setlist around your story.
If you have a specific song that means something to you, let me know in advance. I’ll make sure we find the right time to play it.
Harsh Singer
Music is my life ka suroor, and I am just a student trying to carry forward the teachings of my Ustad. I do not just perform, I create a mehfil—a space where you, your guests, and the melodies become one.
